Genesis 33-34
Genesis 33 tells how Jacob and Esau reunite peacefully after years of separation, with Esau forgiving Jacob, and Jacob settling near Shechem. In Genesis 34 Dinah, the daughter of Leah, wen out to visit the women of the land. Shechem, son of Hamor the Hivite, decided she would be his wife but the odds were against him.
